Q4: How do I know if my hot water cylinder needs replacing?
Common signs are rusty or discoloured hot water, a leak or damp patch around the base, hot water running out much faster than it used to, or an immersion heater that keeps failing. Some of these are repairable, so we check the hot water cylinder first and tell you whether it needs a repair or a replacement.

A boiler service checks the boiler is running safely and efficiently, and most manufacturers require one every year to keep the warranty valid. A gas safety certificate (CP12) checks every gas appliance in the property, plus the pipework. A boiler service on its own is not a gas safety certificate, so landlords need the certificate either way.
Q6: Does my central heating system need regular maintenance?
Yes, even when nothing seems wrong. Sludge builds up slowly, so a yearly check of the radiators, valves, system pressure and inhibitor level catches problems before they become cold spots or a breakdown. It’s easiest to book alongside your annual boiler service.
Q7: Are there grants available for air source heat pumps in South West London?
